Third Day Baby Blues
This is a brief period of distress, or the “baby blues” as they are more commonly known, and effect around 80% of women.
Perinatal: Services
The baby blues commonly occur between the 3rd and 10th day after childbirth. Although symptoms are similar to postnatal depression and anxiety (PNDA) they usually subside within a few days.
Talking with a perinatal psychologist or psychiatrist can be helpful in providing psychological support during this vulnerable period.
Our perinatal psychologists and psychiatrist are able to provide psychological support as you transition in the early days of parenthood
